The capitalist system is the cause of the general socio-economic crisis that makes the future of the youth uncertain. The policies of so-called globalization of industrial countries are creating far greater damage to the lives of the people, including the youth.
Education has been used as an instrument to preserve the oppressive status quo. In most countries educational institutions are directly, or indirectly controlled by imperialist monopolies that exploit the skills and talents of millions of youth and students.
In many countries, the state is abandoning its social obligation by turning over the schools to private hands. The result is often the ever rising cost of education making it more and more it inaccessible to the youth.
Decent jobs and living wages are vanishing, forcing the youth into poverty. Flexible labor policy attacks job security.
The League resolves to:-
a. Fight for the state to give priority to education and stop the privatization of education.
b. Fight against campus repression and for academic freedom and students’ rights.
c. Advance international cooperation and solidarity among the oppressed and exploited youth of the world in the advancement of their common goals.
d. Provide decent jobs and living wages for the youth.#
