PFLP Claims Responsibility for Martyrdom Operation 17 Feb. 02

Occupied Jerusalem - The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) has claimed responsibility for last night's human-bomb attack against Zionist terrorist settlers near Kalkilya last night.

The Zionist regime said two Zionist terrorists were killed and 29 others were injured in the attack, four of them seriously.

The PFLP said Sadeq Abdul Hafiz, 23, of the Kalkilya district, carried out the attack which the PFLP said was a response to "Israel's wanton crimes against our people."

This the first time the secular leftist group declares responsibility for a martyrdom operation.

Observers in Palestine have noted that public support for martyrdom operations, known in the west as suicidal bombings, is overwhelming among Palestinians who seem convinced that Israel is determined to carry out genocide against them.
